DILP

The Diversity in the Legal Profession (DILP) Committee of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations is comprised of dedicated attorneys, law students, and legal professionals from the Denver and Colorado legal communities as well as representatives from the University of Colorado School of Law and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.  Its mission is to break down the long-standing barriers that have prevented diverse attorneys from fully succeeding in the legal profession.  DILP's goal is to cultivate diversity within the legal community and work with law schools, law students, practicing lawyers, and legal employers throughout Colorado to promote diversity at all levels.

Congratulations to the 2009 winners of the Qwest Trailblazer Award -- U.S. District Court Judge Wiley Daniel -- and the Qwest Leadership Award -- the Denver City Attorney's Office.  The awards were presented at the 2009 Diversity in the Legal Workplace Reception on  September 10th.  This annual reception is sponsored by the Pledge to Diversity Legal Group and the Young Lawyers Division of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association.

DILP has joined forces with the Pipeline Working Group to engage young diverse students and encourage them to consider a career in law.

DILP meets the first Tuesday of even-numbered months from 4:00-4:30 p.m. in the CBA offices at 19th & Grant Streets in Denver. All are welcome to join DILP and attend meetings.
