Colorado Campaign for Inclusive Excellence (CCIE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal profession. More specifically, CCIE is dedicated to fulfilling the Vision Statement of the Deans' Diversity Council: Diversity in the legal profession fosters both legal excellence and social equality. The Council is committed to transformation of the legal profession with the following results: By the year 2016, all Denver metro law firms and corporate legal departments will have successfully developed and implemented initiatives that create cultures of inclusion where attorneys of all backgrounds succeed without regard to gender, race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or gender expression. Realizing this Vision requires a multi-faceted approach, with focused work on pipeline, recruiting, and retention issues as well as further development of CCIE's Inclusiveness Program and targeted support for individual legal organizations seeking to transform their cultures to inclusive workplaces. The Campaign is led by a Board of Directors and an Executive Director who are • dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusiveness in the legal profession, • committed to action and not just talk, • interested in new ideas and solutions, and • taking diversity efforts to the next level through the new paradigm of inclusive excellence. More than 100 volunteers contribute their time to the Campaign. The energy and commitment of the volunteers have made CCIE a resounding success in its short history.
